Creative freedom at least seemingly defies any rules that restrict its freedom. Creativity can also be a game, though at least there seems to be a big gap between game and art, or a creative act in particular, regarding freedom. As Paul Valéry ones claimed: “Breaking the rules is the end of the game.” And yet, rules are the only thing that limits players, and that is exactly what makes them free. It sounds like a paradox, which in fact can never be completely resolved. Precisely because of the interplay of different levels of creation, which is in my opinion the prerequisite and which makes certain creation possible at all, I compare the creative processes with the concrete examples of designing the combinatorial and strategic games. As the author of various games I used to follow these practices and therefore simply wrote them down. The rules within each creative creative process probably exist, the question is: which ones. The creative procedures must go through the sieve of checks and comparisons, and if it is not possible to temporarily stop and step out of the game of creation with a distant view that can pause the time for a moment, we may risk the spinning in circle. The creative act is committed to solving the quadrature of this circle. What is the connection between art and game? Identifying potential properties of emergent forms, including predicting new ones based on their genericity. http://livepage.apple.com/
